Olin Partners with Town of Wellesley DPW and Green Mountain Technologies to Pilot New Sustainability-Focused Course

This spring, Olin launched an exciting new curricular offering, Sustainability Initiatives Research Collaboration (SIRC). SIRC is an initiative that emerged from Olin's College as a Living Lab (CaLL) strategic sustainability work and aims to connect Olin's hands-on, creative approach with sponsoring partners who need thoughtful, innovative solutions for sustainability-related projects. Is College Still Worth It? New Report Says "Yes," and Ranks Olin as a Top College for ROI

New data from the Center on Education and the Workforce at Georgetown University on the question of college worth has found that in the overwhelming majority of cases, a college degree or certificate comes with a significant return on investment. Olin made the list as one of the top 10 colleges for ROI on a bachelor's degree. Read more here.

Join Victoria Preston for her presentation, "Expeditionary Science and Applied Engineering: Deep Ocean Exploration." The presentation will highlight the work she and her colleagues conducted on Expedition AT50-33 aboard the R/V Atlantis from Jan. 19 to Feb. 19 of this year.

Wed., April 9: "Three-Part Invention: From Lab to Impact" presented by Diana Dabby

12 p.m. / Online

Diana, 2024-2025 Lillian Gollay Knafel Fellow at the Harvard Radcliffe Institute, will present her project on musical variation engines, a "variation concert" where seat location determines what is heard, and research for a book examining artists whose knowledge and ability in science infused their artistic work.
