DEI Champions/REJI Virtual Convening --
Data, Equity, Action! Facilitating an Equity Data Walk for Actionable Campus
Change
December 14 from 12:30 - 2:00 PM EST
Description: Your campus commitment to racial
equity and justice is evident - you are part of the REJI! But how can we
bring more voices and more campus lived experience to this work in discussing
the data, in collecting more, and in making actionable change at every level
of practice? In February 2024, all REJI campuses will host a campus Equity
Data Walk. Join us for a workshop on how to facilitate your successful
event. We will be discussing everything from logistics (a room? Refreshments?
Breakout Zoom rooms?), to strategies on facilitating and encouraging
productive, asset-based, and equity-minded discussion of our campus data and
most importantly, how to ensure this is only the beginning of the
conversation!

Expo - Monday, December 18
Expo will be hosted on Monday, December 18. An
I Cal is attached, and details and a schedule are below.
Expo is an end-of-semester celebration of
student work. We invite students to present a class project, passionate
pursuit, research endeavor, or another learning experience you/they want to
share with our community. We'll also have performances from the Wired
Ensemble and OCO and a community lunch. Email Susan
Mihalidis with any questions.
To support community-building efforts, we are
also incorporating a service project into Expo. We will decorate cards for
patients staying in the hospital at the end of the year and do a library
clean-up. SERV and the library are our co-hosts for these activities.
