USA Today, in collaboration with the statistics website College Factual, has named Olin College of Engineering one of the top ten colleges in Massachusetts, according to a new ranking of colleges released Wednesday. Olin placed #5 out of a total of 64 Massachusetts colleges ranked by College Factual/USA Today. Nationally, Olin ranks #25.
Olin was deemed one of the best schools in the state because of its intense focus on engineering, as well as its high graduation rates, high student retention rates and high starting salaries for recent alumni. The article also highlighted Olin’s low tuition costs, low percentage of student loan default among alumni who took out loans and federal financial aid, and the high average test scores achieved by the 10.6 percent of applicants admitted to Olin every year.
