OYFI Gratitude Day
Last week during the Olin First Year Introduction (OFYI) seminar, first-year students created greeting cards for faculty, staff and other students on campus who they’re grateful for and who’ve helped support them through their first semester of college. In total, 1,723 cards (or 30.4lbs) were delivered! Read more.

Mon., Dec 15: Winter Unwind Party & Cookie Swap 

3 p.m. - 5 p.m. / The Library
The Library will host their annual Winter Unwind Party and Cookie Swap! There will be a photobooth, games, low-key crafting and excellent vibes. Those who would like to host an activity can reach out to the Library and/or Maggie Anderson (manderson@olin.edu).
 

Wed., Dec 17: Developmental Leave Presentation

Join Jason Woodard to discuss his sabbatical year at a startup incubator in Shenzhen, China, where he aimed to learn about Olin's outsized reputation in China and how our college has influenced Chinese education and entrepreneurship. Click here to join virtually.
 

Candidates' Weekend 2026

Join us for the 2026 Candidates’ Weekends (CW), which are being held on the following dates: 

  • February 20-21

  • February 27-28
  • March 6-7

This is a wonderful opportunity for the Olin community to help the OAFA team select the Class of 2030. We expect to host more than 300 Candidates over three weekends. Please see your Olin email for details on how to participate. If you are a staff or faculty member who would like to help conduct interviews at CW, please use the sign-up form. Questions can be sent to Salvadore Liberto (sliberto@olin.edu), Dean of Admission and Financial Aid.

 
Final Events Schedule & Community Events Calendar
This year, activities open to the community will be published to the Olin Events Calendar in Outlook. Faculty may submit open events by filling out this form. Final open events can be submitted at any time to get them posted to the calendar, but please fill out the form at least a week before the event.
 
If you have not added the calendar to your Outlook account, you can do so by following these steps:
  • Open Outlook and go to the "Calendar tab."
  • In the top toolbar, click "Add Calendar."
  • Select "From Address Book."
  • In the search field, type "Olin Events Calendar."
  • Click "OK" and allow the calendar to sync.
The campus events will appear alongside your user calendar. Please reach out to Linda Canavan (lcanavan@olin.edu) with any questions.

Olin EAS is Olin’s Emergency Alert System, which sends rapid alerts and instructions to all members of the Olin College community in the event of an emergency.

Through this system, the College is able to deliver emergency notices simultaneously via text-messaging and email to the entire student, faculty and staff population.
